Dr. Dauer is an internationally recognized Hair Restoration Surgeon and a published author of numerous medical and consumer publications. Dr. Dauer is also a faculty member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, where he routinely conducts teaching conferences in the art of Hair Transplantation to physicians from all over the world. Dr. Dauer has published numerous articles in medical journals and in the co-author of the book “Understanding Hair Restoration and Hair Loss”. Dr. Dauer is also a frequent contributor in the media, most recently appearing as the expert Hair Restoration Surgeon on the television show “The Doctors”. Dr. Dauer is also an active member of the International Society Of Hair Restoration Surgery and the International Alliance Of Hair Restoration Surgeons.

Born in Los Angeles, Dr. Dauer received his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Yeshiva University, his M.D. degree from New York Medical College, and internship and residency training in the prestigious department of Head and Neck Sugery at UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Dauer then received one to one training with his mentor, one of the foremost innovators in the field of Hair Restoration Surgery.

Dr. Dauer comes from a family thoroughly involved in the medical field. His father is a well known Los Angeles based Nephrologist. His mother maintains a busy practice as a PhD in Art Therapy. Two of his sisters are speech pathologists, his uncle is a Los Angeles based Pediatrician, and 3 of his cousins are each a Pediatrician, Neurologist, and Emergency Room physician respectively.

Dr. Dauer, his wife, and three children live in Los Angeles. In addition to his passion for Hair Restoration, he is an accomplished musician and composer having contributed to the soundtracks of numerous feature films and television shows. Dr. Dauer has performed live on The Tonight Show, Letterman, The View, Ellen, and many others. His most recent album “The Body Rocks” is a children’s album dedicated to teaching kids all about the human body and it’s functions. Dr. Dauer also enjoys photography and coaching his kids in basketball and baseball.
