American Hair Growth Centers - Steve Bennis Strikes Again
January 4, 2010 by The Bald Truth
You would think that after Steve Bennis’ company “Natural Hair Growth Institute” received a BBB rating of F, which one would think is practically impossible, and being charged in a lawsuit filed by the state of Illinois for allegedly violating the Illinois Consumer Fraud Act, that Steve Bennis would have learned his lesson. Well guess again.
Apparently, even though Attorney General Lisa Madigan is asking the court to permanently ban Steve Bennis from doing business in Illinois, Mr. Bennis has chosen to set up shop under his new American Hair Growth Centers brand. He recently launched a website chock full of professionally written, authoritative content for his new venture. The problem is that most of the content originally uploaded to Mr. Bennis’ new site is copywritten material owned by The American Hair Loss Association. The same material that media outlets from around the world refer to, and the same content legally licensed by mainstream medical websites like WebMD.
While the owner of The American Hair Growth Centers website very recently had a few things changed around so that it no longer appears that they clearly plagiarized the content, it is still very easy to see where they got it from, and some of the text on that site is still identical to The American Hair Loss Association.
