When it comes to hair transplant surgery or medicine of any kind the maxim Primum non nocere or “first, do no harm” is one of the principal precepts of bioethics that all healthcare students are taught and is a fundamental principle throughout the world of medicine. However, for some in the hair transplant industry this basic principle does not seem to apply.
The importance of being your own patient advocate or having someone to advocate for you during the day of surgery can never be overemphasized. Remember always go with your gut and if you feel uncomfortable about any part of your experience, speak up.
