Social networking sites like Facebook, Myspace, Stickam and Ning, have evolved into powerful hubs for people of all ages to share news, views and information, but it’s the explosion of quality online video that has become the driving force behind the exponential growth of these sites in the past two years.
According to Nielson.com, time spent viewing online video on social networking sites was up 98% in 2009. When asked about the recent stats, Nelison’s VP of Media Analytics, Jon Gibs said, “During the past year, online video viewing has become central to the Web experience. No Tax For Hair Transplants - TanTax In, Botax Out

As the senate passed the landmark health care bill today, Botox maker Allergan and thousands of hair transplant and general cosmetic surgeons breathed a sigh of relief knowing that legislators have opted to replace the proposed “Botax” with a more palatable 10% tax on indoor tanning services.
While “vanity” seemed to be an easy target as lawmakers scrambled for cash for the nearly $1 trillion dollar plan to expand health care, they probably weren’t prepared for the fierce public opposition launched by pharmaceutical giant Allergan.

In 1989, the FDA banned the marketing of all over-the-counter hair growth products, except those approved under the agency’s New Drug Application process. To date only minoxidil (Rogaine) and finasteride (Propecia) have been approved through this process.
Interestingly enough, the ban hasn’t stopped many in the hair loss industry from blatantly violating FDA regulations until now.
